Var has one major flaw, it can be 100% sure when the ball was kicked. Therefore it can’t
correctly judge if a player is only millimetres offside. If any court case was based on this evidence it would be thrown out.

40 years of seeing us win fuck all, that's why people have meltdowns on here and no chance of change until the owners fuck off in about 4 years. If you lived to see us win something it makes it worse, that's why the owners are trying to replace all us old supporters with slitty eyed folk and doing a good job of it.

VAR should only overrule lino calls for clear and obvious mistakes. These hair-line decisions they are making, which can easily be interpreted both ways, should not be allowed to overrule such tight calls.
When it takes five minutes to figure out then it should be considered too close to call and be down to 'referees call.'

There should be a 3" tollerence like umpires call, how can the naked eye Judging mo ING players often more than two see centimetres difference.
Go to VAR if it's really close just go straight back to ref and original decision stands, it should only take seconds to decide. If they have to do all that shit just proves to close to call.
Nobody will mind a few seconds while they check to see its an obvious mistake.

Is that the exact moment Cahill headed the ball across ? You can’t tell from that
A frame later he is offside
As said I don’t believe the technology is accurate enough when you are drawing lines through kneecaps and shoulders and trying to say you can call it to the cm.

I’ve seen about 3 different versions of their second goal yesterday, all showing different results and one proving that the lines used weren’t parallel.
I simply don’t believe they have the tech to call such tight decisions so the decision on pitch should stand.

I’m not convinced the technology is good enough to make such tight decisions.
For me it should be a quick look to say ‘is it obviously wrong? No? Then the onfield decision stands’.

In Europe they are not flagging for offside but letting play go on and VAR sort it out after - correctly imo.
In this country however they decided to let linesmen continue to flag which leads to confusion. Why can't we use VAR in the same way as other countries?
It is like the refs are using a system they don't want as hardly any decisions other than offside are overturned even when the original decision is blatantly wrong.
The other thing that hasn't been picked up yet is that the time taken to VAR isn't fully added on. They scored yesterday with 85 minutes on the clock and we kicked off with 90 so 5 minutes out of the game. Surely more than 6 should have been added given the number of subs made?
Lastly surely standing around for 5 minutes didn't help us get back in the game either.

I made peace with the fact that unecessary technology, diving and the new stadium had killed my love of the game some time ago, so thankfully shit like yesterday doesnt bother me anymore.
Guess there's also the fact that we've been average my entire life, so I always find it odd with the meltdowns on here, as I mean we're all used to us being shit!!
If VAR is here to stay though, then I do agree with the sentiment of the initial post, as the inconsistencies with it so far have been diabolical.
Crap like this should only be introduced when it's almost foolproof. The worst thing I've ever seen introduced to any sport in the world.

They DID say they weren’t going to flag for offside (unless it was really obvious in being yards off) but let things play out.
Of course being match officials they are incompetent buffoons and cant even keep to their own rules.
They are making it up as they go along. As usual.

We'll be awarded an overruled goal via VAR soon enough.
It’s very annoying that two decisions have gone against us in consecutive weeks but offside is offside. You’ve got to accept it and move on.

I think the decisions at Bournemouth are more relative, 2 goals scored that looked just as tight for offside.
Disallowed one checked one that was given not checked, why?

This is one of my major objections to VAR as it is used currently, in that if play is stopped for an incorrect decision, how do you restart it, in the circumstances you describe?
